The bottom of the Metropolitan division Pittsburgh Penguins take on the similarly struggling New York Islanders tonight at 4 P.M. Pacific time. Coming into today, the Penguins have a four game winning streak on the line.
After being sent down to the minors, Tristan Jarry has reclaimed the starting goalie position. Jarry has started all four games in the winning streak, he looks to continue his prowess. Pittsburgh is now just six points away from making the wildcard spot in the East.

With the Islanders on the relatively same path as the Penguins, expect a gritty performance by both teams. Each team has a slim chance of making the playoffs, but each is truly fighting for pride and each other.
As Penguins fans, we need similar performances from Rakell, Crosby, and Jarry to remain in the race.
Keys to this game rely on the defense and the powerplay as well. With an abysmal -44 goal differential on the year. Defensive performance has been haunted by bad pinches, turnovers, and lack of a breakout. To make things worse the Penguins are currently in the bottom portion in the league in penalty killing percentage at 77.2% To sum up the Penguins season, Connor Timmins leads the team in +/- goal differential at 7. CONNOR FUCKING TIMMINS. The team must enact change in hopes for next season, as most fans have seen the light at the end of the tunnel.
